Question by ~*Girly Girl*~: Rehab for Wellbutrin???
My family is trying to send me to a one year long rehab program because I am clinically depressed. I am currently on Wellbutrin and have had great results other than a little lost sleep. They are acting like this is a condition I am making up, and are claiming it to be a chemical dependency. Can anyone see a bright side to this? Because I’m struggling!
There are no details I am keeping out. I would not come to yahoo answers and make something up. What good would that do me? I would really just like to know if anyone can justilfy what they are saying/trying to do.

See your psychiatrist immediately. You may need something added to the Wellbutrin for sleep. This is not a situation that needs a 1 yr. rehab for unless you are not being honest.

Question by Andrew: Prescription Drugs “Abuse”?
I have access to some prescription drugs such as cymbalta. I was wondering if it’s similar to things like hydrocodone where they don’t get you high, but when you’re not prescribed to it, it normally makes you feel chill, like some sort of other high. I was wondering if cymbalta makes you feel the same, or how it does make you feel when it’s not needed?

Cymbalta is a wicked drug. And I don’t mean that in a good sense. For starters it’s known to cause something called cymbalta withdrawal syndrome when taking it AS PRESCRIBED in as little as a week, and that can last up to a year.
Antidepressants aren’t something that can be abused for fun, and can be rather dangerous.

Roughly translated, the question is, Why do you think that you need drugs? Identify = list/name. Psychological constructs = thought processes. Substance abuse = drug addiction. When you take a chemical for a period of time (the stronger the chemical – the shorter the time), your body becomes used to it being in your system and when it’s not, your body craves it. Name the thought processes of drug addiction.

Question by Blake the dinosour!: I don’t know what to do about my medication. I take Adderall XR. Please read, and help.?
Okay, so basically I started taking Aderall XR for about a month now, I use to be a very happy person, that just couldn’t seem to get a task done. So I decided to start Adderall, because that is what I was on as a child. I’m 16 now, and I’m attitude is awful, well I don’t know if it’s my attitude, it’s more like I’m very “IRRITABLE!!!!” I can’t stand any thing, If someone is eating the wrong way it DRIVES me insane, I would hate to see someone look at me the wrong way, while me being on this medication. Also I have horrid anxiety to the point where I can’t breath. I also can’t even focus. Like school work “what is that”? Lol That’s whats been going on since then. Is this normal? Will this blow over? I mean, I don’t want to keep dealing with this! It’s awful. I feel at times like i could kill myself, I also have somewhat of a depression issue anyways, and this is NOT helping. So please help. Do I need to try regular Adderall? NOT the XR? and a high dose? and or the same dose? I take 20 mg’s. OR try something else, PLEASE HELP if you recommend something else, please, could it be something that could possibly give me energy? or and make me happy, and still, have the weigh loss side effect.

Stop using Adderall and call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
fast, pounding, or uneven heartbeats;
feeling light-headed, fainting;
increased blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision, ****trouble concentrating****, chest pain, numbness, seizure); or
tremor, restlessness, hallucinations, unusual behavior, or motor tics (muscle twitches). from www.drugs.com – Check it out!
I don’t recommend any of the powerful, and addictive central nervous system stimulants. An increased incidence of abuse of cocaine, crack cocaine, crystal meth, and other amphetamines has been reported among users of Ritalin, and other amphetamine related medications, which may well predispose them to later abuse street drugs, with all the undesirable consequences involved. The only ADHD medication not in the stimulant family is Strattera, which is structurally related to the antidepressants, and carries risks, and side effects of its own.
