Question by J: Why does the law treat different ages as an adult in different circumstances?
I have a problem with the fact that you can be 18 and join the military fire weapons go to Iraq and get shot but you can’t legally buy beer and alcohol
Then a teenager can’t buy cigarettes, buy beer and alcohol, some can’t get a license in some states, can’t vote but CAN get charged as an “adult” for some crimes
Or this one an 18 and a 85yr old are okay but a 15 and 18 are bad yet the 15 and 18 are closer in age and are in the same high school in some circumstances
ju bored wondering LOL what do you think……..

It’s the way politicians have drafted the rules….
It’s not rational — which is not surprising.
